Position Description

As a Project Manager, you will collaborate within a team to partner with hospitals and implement effective process improvement techniques. Your leadership will support and enhance hospitals’ quality improvement (QI) initiatives and ultimately improve patients’ quality of care.

  • Lead the implementation of quality improvement projects with partner facilities to drive operational efficiency utilizing relevant process improvement methodologies
  • Support the refinement of existing QI programs and the development of new programs that will enhance patient outcomes
  • Collaborate with key organizational and operational leaders to identify and achieve priorities, goals and objectives for designated clinical QI initiatives while developing long-term partnerships
  • Partner with hospital QI teams to develop and implement project plans, scope, deliverables, and resource requirements to efficiently implement and build a structure for sustainable QI initiatives
  • Lead and conduct basic secondary research and quantitative and qualitative analysis
  • Collect and present analysis of QI process and outcome metrics and trends to hospital committees, staff and leadership
  • Coach and mentor hospital teams to establish robust process improvement practices that strengthen hospitals’ culture of patient care and teamwork

Position Requirements

This position requires the following skills and attributes:

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 3-5 years of experience in project management
  • Proven ability to lead complex, multi-disciplinary projects
  • Ability to objectively evaluate complex projects
  • Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills with the ability to work within a team environment and independently with minimal supervision
  • Excellent communication skills, including verbal, written, presentation, and training skills
  • Must be able to learn, understand and successfully communicate clinical and business processes/workflow to customers
  • Ability to travel 20-50 percent of the time

Preferred

The following skills and attributes are preferred:

  • Project management or performance improvement experience with a consultative approach to health system planning, quality improvement, hospital operations, or a closely related field
  • Proficiency in quantitative data analysis and report writing
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
