Position Description

As a Clinical & Market Associate you will be responsible for working within the framework of a team and performing the following activities:

  • Support  clinical and market research needs domestically and internationally regarding various surgical procedures and devices, including but not limited to overall current and future market trends, competitive analyses, pricing and volumes, and post-market surveillance.
  • Filter and analyze product and market related data from various sources and create reports to disseminate this information to Clinical Development, Sales, Engineering and Corporate Management Assist in identifying targeted selling opportunities.
  • Gain an understanding of customer experience with Applied devices and competitive products.
  • Support product development and/or enhancement projects, including but not limited to researching the true clinical need(s), reviewing clinical literature, understanding competitive devices and conducting post-market surveillance.
  • Attend congresses and meet with clinicians to gain understanding and expertise on wide range of procedures, products and markets. Create reports and disseminate to Clinical Development and/or Engineering.
  • Assist in developing and maintaining a central location for collecting market data and intelligence.
  • Assist in developing tools/templates to streamline and facilitate gathering and dissemination of intelligence.
  • Support the development of training programs/activities for Clinical Development Team members to enhance clinical knowledge and understanding of the healthcare market.
  • Assist in other Clinical Development and R&D projects that may require support, both domestically and internationally
  • Participate in strategic meetings and Situation Analysis discussions.

Position Requirements

This position requires the following skills and attributes:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
  • Basic mathematics and analysis
  • 2+ years’ experience writing reports
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to collaborate in a team environment
  • Ability to formulate reports and present findings
  • Proficiency in using Microsoft Office programs, including but not limited to Word, Excel, PowerPoint, One Note and Outlook
  • Flexibility to work occasional nights and weekends
  • Ability to meet all hospital credentialing requirements, which may include background check, drug screen, and vaccinations
  • Ability to travel up to 15% of the time

Preferred

The following skills and attributes are preferred:

  • Experience with statistics
  • Experience in giving presentations
  • Experience with data-mining and analysis
